The Foxboro P0971WV, commonly designated as DNBT (Dual Nodebus 10Base-T Interface), is a critical communication module for the I/A Series Distributed Control System (DCS). It provides direct interfacing between 50 Series or 70 Series stations and the I/A Series Nodebus, enabling redundant, high-integrity data exchange across the control network. Unlike legacy copper-based interfaces, the DNBT transmits data over a single 10Base-T (shielded twisted-pair) cable, consolidating signal and control information onto one physical medium. This design is optimized for use with Model 51, Style E (and later) processors and 70 Series processors, simplifying cabling architecture while maintaining the deterministic performance required for process control. The module functions as a Z-module form-factor card, designed for mounting in standard I/A Series enclosures.
