The Foxboro P0400YH, designated as the FBM07, is a 16-channel Contact/DC Input Interface Module for the I/A Series Distributed Control System (DCS). It functions as either a 16-channel contact sensor or a 16-channel DC voltage monitor, performing the signal conversion required to interface digital (on/off state) electrical input signals from field sensors to the redundant Fieldbus. As an expandable main module, the FBM07 independently connects to the Fieldbus and is capable of supporting a single FBM12 Expansion Module to increase capacity to 32 input channels without requiring another primary Fieldbus connection. The module is widely deployed in oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, and water treatment facilities for digital status monitoring, alarm handling, interlocks, and sequence-of-events recording.
