    Field Wiring Guide

    For reliable signal acquisition with the 3AI775.6, follow these best practices :

    • Use Shielded Cables: All analog signal wiring must be shielded to protect against electromagnetic interference (EMI)

    • Single-Point Grounding: Connect cable shields to the terminal block shield connections; ground at the control cabinet end only

    • Short Unused Inputs: For EMC reasons, short-circuit any input channels not in use to prevent floating signals

    • Terminal Block Required: The module requires a 20-pin terminal block—choose either 3TB170.9 (screw-clamp) or 3TB170.91 (push-in)
