System Integration Notes

• Safety Partner Required: The 1756‑L62S must be used with a 1756‑LSP safety partner module. The primary controller and safety partner must be installed in adjacent slots (primary on the left, partner on the right) with identical firmware versions .

• No Built‑in Ethernet: This processor has no embedded Ethernet port. Use 1756‑ENBT, 1756‑EN2T, or other communication modules for EtherNet/IP connectivity .

• Network Support: Supports DeviceNet, ControlNet, and EtherNet/IP via appropriate communication modules; supports CIP Safety over EtherNet/IP .

• I/O Compatibility: Works with both standard and safety I/O modules (e.g., 1756‑IB8S, 1756‑OB8S) in the same chassis .

• Firmware Updates: Use ControlFLASH software for firmware upgrades.
