System Integration Notes

• Safety Partner Required: The 1756‑L61S must be used with a 1756‑LSP safety partner module. The primary controller and safety partner must be installed in adjacent slots (primary on the left, partner on the right) with identical firmware versions .

• No Built‑in Ethernet: This processor has no embedded Ethernet port. Use 1756‑ENBT or 1756‑EN2T communication modules for EtherNet/IP connectivity .

• Network Support: Supports DeviceNet, ControlNet, and EtherNet/IP via appropriate communication modules .

• Firmware Updates: Use ControlFLASH software (version 8 or later) for firmware upgrades .
