    • No Built‑in Ethernet: This processor has no embedded Ethernet port. Use 1756‑ENBT, 1756‑EN2T, or other communication modules for EtherNet/IP connectivity 

    • Network Support: Supports CIP Safety over EtherNet/IP for safety interlocking between GuardLogix processors, as well as DeviceNet and ControlNet for safety I/O connectivity 

    • I/O Compatibility: Works with both standard and safety I/O modules (e.g., 1756‑IB8S, 1756‑OB8S) in the same chassis
