The D1020D is certified to SIL 2 (SC 3) according to IEC 61508, with PFDavg (1 year) of 3.08 E-04 and SFF of 82.12%. G.M. International is TÜV-certified for safety-related systems up to SIL 3.

Hazardous Area Signal Transfer
The isolator transfers signals from Safe Area controllers to loads in Zone 0 (Zone 20), Division 1 hazardous areas. It can be installed in Zone 2, Division 2 locations, providing flexible deployment options for demanding process environments.

Bidirectional HART Communication
The circuit supports bidirectional communication signals within a 0.5 to 40 KHz frequency band (3 dB), fully compatible with HART and higher-frequency smart protocols. This enables remote configuration and diagnostics of smart valve positioners and I/P converters without breaking the isolation barrier.

High Output Capacity with Low Input Drop
The D1020D delivers 15 V at 20 mA output capacity while maintaining a low voltage drop of ≤ 2.0 V across its input terminals. This combination ensures reliable signal transmission even to high-resistance loads up to 750 Ω.

Field Open Circuit Detection
In the 4-20 mA input range, a field open circuit reflects a high impedance to the control device output circuit, providing inherent fault detection for critical safety loops.

High Density and Three-Port Isolation
With two independent channels per unit and 22.5 mm width, the D1020D maximizes panel density. Three-port isolation (input/output/supply) with 1.5 KV test voltage between I.S. output and both input and supply ensures robust galvanic separation.
