The KL2545 is a single-channel stepper motor terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system, featuring a high-current integrated drive with incremental encoder input. It combines a powerful stepper motor power stage with encoder feedback capability, enabling position-verified or position-corrected stepper operation for larger motors. It is used for demanding positioning tasks where monitoring or correction of the motor position is required. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
