The ProSoft MVI46-GSC is an in-chassis Generic ASCII serial communication module for the Allen-Bradley SLC 500 platform (1746 I/O chassis). It enables SLC controllers to communicate with ASCII-based serial devices (barcode scanners, weigh scales, printers, and other serial equipment) using user-defined ASCII protocols, integrating these devices into the SLC control architecture via the backplane.
