Beckhoff KL6301 original communication interface

The KL6301 is a single-channel serial interface terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system, designed for RS485 and RS422 serial communication. It provides one configurable serial port directly within the K-Bus I/O system, allowing the controller to communicate with industrial devices such as drives, sensors, meters, and legacy equipment over differential serial links. It is a variant within the KL63xx serial interface family; the exact feature differences versus the KL6201 and KL6211 should be confirmed in the current Beckhoff datasheet. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
