Beckhoff KL6211 original communication interface

The KL6211 is a single-channel serial interface terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system, designed for RS485 and RS422 serial communication with integrated diagnostics. It provides one configurable serial port directly within the K-Bus I/O system, allowing the controller to communicate with industrial devices such as drives, sensors, meters, and legacy equipment over differential serial links, while offering diagnostic feedback on serial communication. It is a variant within the KL62xx serial interface family, related to the KL6201; the exact feature differences should be confirmed in the current Beckhoff datasheet. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
