Beckhoff KL6201 original communication interface

The KL6201 is a single-channel serial interface terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system, designed for RS485 and RS422 serial communication. It provides one configurable serial port directly within the K-Bus I/O system, allowing the controller to communicate with industrial devices such as drives, sensors, meters, and legacy equipment over differential serial links. It is a variant within the KL60xx serial interface family; the exact feature differences versus the KL6021, KL6023, KL6031, KL6041, and KL6051 should be confirmed in the current Beckhoff datasheet. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
