Beckhoff KL6011 Bus Terminal communication interface

The KL6011 is a single-channel serial interface terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system, designed for RS232 serial communication. It provides one RS232 port directly within the K-Bus I/O system, allowing the controller to communicate with serial devices such as barcode scanners, weighing terminals, printers, HMIs, and legacy equipment. It is a variant within the KL60xx RS232 serial interface family; the exact differences versus the KL6001 should be confirmed in the current Beckhoff datasheet. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
