Beckhoff KL5051 Bus Terminal encoder interface

The KL5051 is a single-channel interface terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system, designed for direct connection of SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) encoders and equipped with incremental encoder simulation output. It reads the absolute position from an SSI encoder and can simultaneously output a simulated incremental encoder signal (A/B tracks, optionally with zero pulse) to a downstream drive or controller. It is the K-Bus counterpart to the EtherCAT EL5021. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
