The Beckhoff CX1030-N030 is an optional system interface module for the CX1030 Embedded PC, adding two RS232 serial interfaces (COM1 and COM2) via 9-pin D-sub connectors. It is a factory-installed option that cannot be retrofitted in the field and must be ordered together with the CX1030 CPU. The module extends the serial communication capability of the CX1030, making it suitable for connecting legacy serial devices, barcode scanners, or HMIs alongside the CPU's native Ethernet ports.
