The Beckhoff BK4500 is an Interbus Bus Coupler with a fiber-optic interface, designed to connect Interbus networks to Beckhoff's modular Bus Terminals. Its defining feature is the fiber-optic connection, which provides absolute electrical isolation and high immunity to interference, allowing the coupler to be placed at any location in the Interbus ring after an RS422/fiber-optic conversion.
