The Beckhoff BC9000 is an Ethernet TCP/IP Bus Terminal Controller that combines Bus Coupler functionality with an integrated IEC 61131-3 PLC. It acts as an intelligent Ethernet slave for decentralized signal processing, supporting up to 64 Bus Terminals directly. The controller is programmed via TwinCAT 2 and communicates using TwinCAT ADS and Modbus TCP protocols, making it suitable for distributed control applications where local intelligence is required at the I/O level.
