The Siemens 6ES7157-0AA82-0XA0 is an IM 157 interface module that forms the core of a DP/PA Link, acting as a gateway between PROFIBUS DP and PROFIBUS PA networks. It functions as a DP V1 slave on the higher-level PROFIBUS DP side and as a master on the lower-level PROFIBUS PA side, decoupling the transmission rates of the two networks (DP up to 12 Mbit/s, PA fixed at 31.25 kbit/s).
