FAQs
Q1: What is the 6SX7010-0FF05 used for?
It is a PROFIBUS DP communication module (CBP2) that connects Siemens SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES drives to a PROFIBUS network, enabling centralized control and monitoring .
Q2: What is the difference between CBPx and CBP2 DPV1?
The CBP2 DPV1 supports non-cyclic data exchange (DP-V1), which allows for parameter setting, diagnostics, and alarm handling in addition to the cyclic process data of the standard CBPx .
Q3: How do I configure this module in STEP 7?
In the hardware configurator, you must select the MLFB 6SE7090-0XX84-0FF5 for the CBP2. If using Drive ES, choose the GSD file under SIMOVERT -> MASTERDRIVES CBP2 .
Q4: What is the maximum communication speed supported?
The module supports PROFIBUS DP communication speeds up to 12 Mbps.
