The KL4012 is a two-channel analog output terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system. It outputs 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA current-loop signals to control actuators, valves, drives, and other devices that accept an analog current setpoint. It belongs to the KL4xxx analog output family, which typically offers higher resolution than the KL3xxx family, and is the 2-channel member alongside the KL4011. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
