Beckhoff KL3404 3-Phase Power Measurement Terminal

The KL3404 is a three-phase power measurement terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system, designed for direct measurement of electrical power in three-phase AC systems. It measures voltage and current on all three phases and calculates RMS values, active/reactive/apparent power, power factor, and energy, delivering the results to the controller. It is an extended variant of the KL3403; the exact feature differences should be confirmed in the current Beckhoff datasheet. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
