The KL1889 is an eight-channel digital output terminal from the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (KL series) for the traditional K-Bus I/O system, featuring integrated diagnostics and manual operation capability. It is used to switch binary field devices such as relays, contactors, solenoid valves, and indicator lamps, while providing diagnostic feedback on output status and allowing manual override for commissioning and troubleshooting. Unlike EtherCAT terminals (EL series), the KL series communicates via the K-Bus and is typically used with Beckhoff Bus Couplers or Bus Terminal Controllers.
